How a void-of-course Moon is calculated
The Moon is void after it completes its final major aspect in a sign and before it enters the next sign. The calendar finds those exact contacts and sign ingresses, then shows the interval between them in your time zone.
The method
Method: Lilly — within-sign conjunction, sextile, square, trine and opposition to the seven traditional planets. Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and the nodes do not end a void period. Taurus, Cancer, Sagittarius and Pisces are marked with Lilly's traditional mitigation.
What the period means
In horary and electional practice, a void Moon suggests that the situation may not develop further in the expected way. It is a condition to weigh, not a stand-alone verdict, and whether stillness helps or hinders depends on what you are trying to do.
